Universal Pictures International acquires international distribution rights to Foosball 3D

Universal Pictures International has purchased international distribution rights in the territories of Latin America and Spain for Academy Award-winning director Juan Jose Campanella's (Secrets in Their Eyes) new film, Foosball (Metegol/Futbolin). Foosball is a 3D family animation film about a boy whose table football players magically come to life and help in his attempt to defeat a rival football player and win back his childhood sweetheart.
The animation for Foosball 3D is being supervised by Sergio Pablos (Despicable Me, Rio) and the film is produced by Jorge Estrada Mora's Jempsa in Argentina, and by Plural-Jempsa and Antena 3 Films in Spain. Executive Producers are JJ Campanella's 100 Bares Productions and Gaston Gorali's Catmandu Films, with the participation of Canal +.
Foosball 3D is currently in post-production and will be released in 2013
